Episode 5, iTunes and Meetup

Welcome back friends (meaning Heather and the 3 people who happen upon this in WordPress), today we’re talking about iTunes and Meetup.

First and foremost, my show, my little podcast baby, is finally on iTunes and can be found here for your listening pleasure. It’s taken a long time, but there I am.

I’m going to be honest with you: the first time I searched for the name of my podcast and actually found it, I about passed out. My immediate reaction was excitement, followed quickly by dread. The internet is a big scary place and I’m constantly plagued by Imposter Syndrome, so obiously everyone is going to hate it.

I never said it was a rational thought process.

So, if you don’t hate it, swing by and rate/review/subscribe. All those things that help with SEO and all of those other internet things. I don’t really know about them but I hear they’re important.

I really didn’t intend for this to be a ranty episode, but I’ve had some interesting and odd experiences on Meetup lately, so that’s fun.

I kind of enjoy these little bite-sized episodes and I hope you do too! If you do, tell me! If you don’t, also tell me! I’d love to hear from you even if you think I suck.

  1. Hahaha – I’ve listened to all your episodes thus far…am I your only subscriber or the only one you can knowingly identify?

You suck! <——- See it isn’t that bad and now that is out of the way so you can stop dreading it! 😉

About to head out for some karaoke, but I will listen to this one ASAP! For the record, I DO like the bite sized bits – easier to find the time to listen to it entirely, which is how I prefer listening to podcast episodes: all in one sitting.

    1. 😂😂😂😂

My other listeners have been my friends and the people I’ve interviewed. That’s basically it. It’s nearly impossible to establish an audience without iTunes. Thanks Steve Jobs.
